Alan Jackson’s Grandson, Wesley, Turns One Year Old

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since Alan Jackson’s grandson, Wesley, was born!

Alan Jackson’s oldest daughter, Mattie, married her husband, Connor Smith, in May 2023 during a beautiful ceremony in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Less than a year later, the couple shared the exciting news that they were expecting their first child together. They posted a series of photos to social media of them holding up ultrasound photos and Mattie showing off her baby bump.

“I feel like I said so many times last year that 2023 topped the charts with more joy and celebration and redemption than any yet. Well, I have a feeling 2024 may give it a run for it’s money,” Mattie captioned the post. “We are absolutely thrilled to share BABY BOY SMITH coming this June!!!”

On June 20, 2024, they officially welcomed their new addition into the world, a baby boy named Wesley Alan Smith.

Of course, the baby’s middle name is a tribute to his legendary country music grandpa.

His first name is also a nod to a special family member. Wesley was the name of Connor’s grandfather.

To celebrate his birthday, Mattie shared a sweet post on Facebook with photos of her, Connor, and Wesley from throughout their first year as a family.

In the caption, she reflected on how incredible the past year has been. She shared how much joy and love Wesley has brought into their lives.

“It’s amazing how miraculously, beautifully, hugely 365 days can change your whole life,” Mattie wrote.“Happy 1st Birthday to my precious angel boy and birthday twin!!”

She continued, “You will always be the greatest birthday gift I’ve ever received, and I have a feeling each new year with you will be as much of a joy and adventure as this first one has been. You are EXACTLY what you’re daddy and I prayed you would be – kind, curious, and brave. I adore you, Wesley Alan. Here’s to a new year of more fun, cooler toys, and bigger emotions… We’re here for it all with you, baby boy.”
