Ella Langley & Riley Green Win Music Event Of The Year For “You Look Like You Love Me”

The 2025 ACM Winner For Music Event Of The Year Has Been Revealed

The 2025 ACM Awards premiered on Thursday, May 8, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the show in a big way.

Held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, the night brought together some of the biggest names in country music.

Making the night even more special, the legendary Reba McEntire returned as this year’s host. This was McEntire’s 18th time hosting the award show.

Throughout the evening, fan-favorite artists were honored for their music over the past year. As always, the ACM Awards also made sure to spotlight standout collaborations through the Music Event of the Year Category.

Although it’s now a staple of the show, this award is technically one of the newest additions to the ACM lineup. The very first recipients were Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in 1998 for their hit duet “It’s Your Love.”

At the time, it was known as Vocal Event of the Year. It wasn’t until 2019 that the category was renamed to Music Event of the Year.

The ACM revealed the nominations for every category on March 27. The nominees for Music Event of the Year were:

  • Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan – “Cowboys Cry Too”
  • Post Malone and Morgan Wallen – “I Had Some Help”
  • Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood – “I’m Gonna Love You”
  • Chris Stapleton and Carly Pearce – “we don’t fight anymore”
  • Ella Langley and Riley Green – “you look like you love me”

Each of these collaborations truly earned its place in the running, but only one could take home the title.

The 2025 ACM Award for Music Event of the Year went to…

Ella Langley and Riley Green!

Langley and Green released their duet “You Look Like You Love Me” in June of 2024. The track became a huge moment for both artists, as it was Langley’s first and Green’s second No. 1 hit on the Country Airplay charts. It also earned them the ACM Award for Musical Event of the Year at last year’s ceremony.
