“Idol” Finalist Breanna Nix Invited To Make Her Grand Ole Opry Debut

The Finale For Season 23 Of American Idol Aired On Sunday, May 18

Breanna Nix is stepping off the American Idol stage and into the Opry circle!

American Idol‘s Season 23 finale aired on Sunday, May 18. The episode celebrated the three finalists: Jamal Roberts, John Foster, and Breanna Nix.

From the start of the season, stay-at-home mom Breanna endeared herself to Idol viewers. During her audition, she beautifully sang Carrie Underwood‘s “Jesus, Take the Wheel.” Carrie, who joined Idol’s panel of judges for Season 23, held Breanna’s sleepy son while she sang.

Breanna continued to amaze the judges and viewers with her powerful and often faith-based performances. Through the weeks, we heard her deliver soaring renditions of “Still Rolling Stones,” “Something in the Water,” and “Up to the Mountain.”

Her hard work paid off, and Breanna advanced to the Idol finale. She ultimately came in third place, with John Foster placing second and Jamal Foster winning the season.

Breanna shared a thankful message on social media after the finale, writing:

“I don’t even know where to begin… Nix Nation – thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single one of you who’s supported me throughout this experience. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and so excited for what’s next. I can’t wait to share more music and grow with you, this is just the beginning. There’s so much I want to say, but for now… thank you. Truly. You’ve changed my life.”
