Sunday Rose, 17, the eldest daughter of country star Keith Urban and Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, is stepping into her own spotlight.
Along with her younger sister, Faith Margaret, Sunday spent her early childhood mostly out of the public eye. Keith and Nicole prioritized privacy, wanting the girls to have normal lives despite their fame.
Although they stayed away from the media, the daughters occasionally appeared with their parents. Both even had small cameos on Nicole’s hit series Big Little Lies, giving fans glimpses of their lives.
Now, as teenagers, Sunday and Faith are gradually appearing more in public events. One notable appearance was in 2024 when the sisters joined Nicole on the red carpet as she received the prestigious AFI Life Achievement Award.

In a recent NYLON magazine cover interview, Sunday Rose revealed the two major rules her parents enforced during her childhood.
1. No Modeling Before Age 16
Sunday wasn’t allowed to explore modeling before she turned 16.
“I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16,” she shared.
This rule helped her enjoy a more normal childhood and delayed the pressures of fame.
2. Education Always Comes First
Keith and Nicole emphasized that school was the top priority.
Although Sunday initially disliked this, she now appreciates the guidance.
“I am actually really glad I have these rules in place because it keeps me in a good mindset,” she said.
These rules helped Sunday balance her personal life, academics, and budding career interests.
Sunday Rose’s Early Passion for Entertainment
Sunday and Faith both expressed interest in the entertainment industry at a young age. In a 2016 CMT interview, Keith Urban shared that his daughters were excited about singing and acting.
Over time, Sunday’s focus shifted more toward fashion and modeling. Following her parents’ rules, she waited until she turned 16 to seriously explore the industry.
Sunday Rose’s Modeling Debut
In 2024, Sunday made her runway debut for Miu Miu at Paris Fashion Week. She appeared in a chic white outfit with knee-high socks and open-toe shoes, impressing audiences worldwide.
Reflecting on her interest in fashion, Sunday explained:
“Something I’ve always loved about fashion is how each brand expresses itself differently. Watching shows and attending my mom’s photo shoots inspired me.”
She also enjoys browsing Nicole’s wardrobe, joking that it’s her “favorite store.”

Sunday Rose Pursuing College and Filmmaking Dreams
While modeling is her current focus, Sunday also plans to attend college. She hopes to study filmmaking, a passion she’s had since age five.
“I have several interests I want to explore in college, but filmmaking has been my dream career for a long time,” she said.
Her parents’ guidance, including prioritizing education, ensures she can chase these ambitions while maintaining balance.
Faith Margaret’s Rising Interests
Faith, 14, has started exploring modeling as well. She recently appeared in a campaign for Japanese luxury beauty brand Clé de Peau Beauté alongside Nicole Kidman.
Both sisters are gradually finding their place in fashion and entertainment while following the strong foundation their parents set.
