Tayla Lynn To Release Tribute Album To Grandmother Loretta Lynn, First Single Out Now

Loretta Lynn’s Grandaughter Celebrates Her Music And Lasting Impact

Tayla Lynn, the granddaughter of the iconic Loretta Lynn, will release a special album in honor of her late grandmother this spring. Singin’ Loretta will debut on May 30th and will contain timeless hits like “Blue Kentucky Girl” and “You’re Lookin’ at Country,” as well as a few “lesser-known gems.”

In a press release shared about the project, Tayla recalled asking for her “memaw” for input on her set list for live shows. Loretta told her:

“Oh honey, you gotta just kick it off with ‘You Ain’t Woman Enough’ and then roll right into my first number one ‘Don’t Come Home A Drinkin’, and that’ll get ‘em every time.”

Tayla Lynn has country music in her veins and began singing at a young age. In addition to her solo work, she performs in the duo Twitty & Lynn with Tre Twitty, the grandson of Conway Twitty.

Singin’ Loretta will be Tayla’s second full-length solo album. Even though she was apprehensive to put the record out, she shared:

“I know the Good Lord above is the only one who matters. So I’m trusting what Memaw and I had—and just singing what I love, because I love it.”

Tayla Lynn Releases “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ On Your Mind)”

In partnership with Heart of Texas Records and StarVista Music, Tayla Lynn has shared her rendition of Loretta Lynn’s first number-one hit, “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ On Your Mind).” Loretta released the classic tune in 1967, and it became the seventh single by a female artist to ever reach the top of the country charts.

Additionally, the song helped the country music legend earn an RIAA gold certification for her album of the same name, making her the first female country artist to achieve this feat.

Tayla’s rendition of the famous tune infuses her own style as an artist while maintaining the original power of the song. Listen to Tayla Lynn’s version of “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ On Your Mind)” by Loretta Lynn below!Â
