Taylor Swift Calls Switzerland ‘Stunningly Beautiful’ as She Wraps First-Ever Shows in the Country
Taylor Swift is saying “tschüss” to Switzerland.
The global superstar, 34, performed two nights of her three-and-a-half-hour Eras Tour in the Zürich stadium on July 9 and 10. She recapped her experience on Instagram on Thursday, July 11.
“The Eras Tour has brought so many firsts with it… for example, I’d never been to Switzerland before. “This place is stunningly beautiful,” Swift captioned a collection of photos. “I loved playing for those 2 wonderful crowds in Zurich.”
“Pretty wild to think we only have 7 cities left on the European leg of the tour. Up next is a city I’ve been looking forward to playing for so long: Milan!! 🇮🇹”
The “Cruel Summer” singer’s two nights in Zürich marked her first-ever shows in the country, after she skipped over Switzerland for her last few world tours.
At her concert the night prior, she celebrated her 113th show of the Eras Tour.
The number 13 is famously Swift’s favorite number. To mark the occasion, she played several of her “favorite songs” for the Swiss crowd. These included Evermore’s “Right Where You Left Me,” 1989’s “All You Had to Do Was Stay,” and Red’s “Sad Beautiful Tragic.”
She also honored the date, July 9, which is mentioned in her song “Last Kiss.” She gave the audience a piano rendition of the *Speak Now* track.
The star has made waves at nearly every European city she’s visited this summer. She has mixed up the career-spanning setlist to make room for tracks off of her new album, *The Tortured Poets Department*. On Instagram, she went official with boyfriend Travis Kelce in a selfie featuring a few royals. Additionally, she invited the Kansas City Chiefs star onstage to join her background dancers.
As the “All Too Well” singer wraps up her Zürich dates, she looks ahead to Milan. She is set to play two nights at the San Siro stadium this weekend. She’ll close out the European segment of the tour in August with five nights at Wembley Stadium in London. After that, she’ll head back across the pond for a final North American leg.
