Taylor Swift’s Next Album Will Reportedly Reveal the Truth About Her ‘Changes in Friendship’ With Blake Lively
Yes, Taylor Swift is moving into her new era!
The singer-songwriter is currently working on her next album and insiders are saying that she’s bringing up things that have been affecting her recently.
All eyes have been on the The Tortured Poets Department singer for the past couple of months. After ending her record-breaking Eras Tour, she’s embracing her WAG status and supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce every step of the way. She also attended the 67th Annual Grammys in a Chiefs Red outfit the week before she was spotted at the Super Bowl. One person who was noticeably absent from her usual Super Bowl posse was her best friend Blake Lively. Tensions are reportedly high between the besties since Justin Baldoni mentioned Taylor in his highly publicized legal battle with Blake.
It all came after text messages emerged in Justin Baldoni’s countersuit against Lively, where the actress allegedly referred to Swift as one of her “dragons” alongside husband Ryan Reynolds. Sources close to Swift told TMZ she was “royally pissed off” about being characterized this way, especially since she “never had a dog in the fight.” Since the texts emerged, there have been various reports that the two aren’t on speaking terms or that they’re trying to maintain a low-key friendship. So what’s the deal? Is she going to address the problems in her new album or focus on her serious relationship with Travis?
Is Taylor Swift’s New Album About Blake Lively & Travis Kelce?
According to insiders in the music business, Taylor’s new album is going to address both her romance with Travis and changes with Blake. A source at entertainment mogul company AEG told Express: “Taylor is in the development stages of her new album which will be released at the end of the year. She wrote songs backstage on her last tour and bosses at AEG have been told to prepare themselves for another tour in 2026.”
The source confirmed the contents and subjects of the songs. They added, “People who have heard some of the ideas say it’s inspired by a lot of what she’s been through including her relationship with Travis and changes in her friendships, specifically Blake Lively.”
If one person is going to listen to Taylor’s unreleased tracks, it would have to be Travis Kelce himself. She showed the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end songs from her album before the release of The Tortured Poets Society. “I have heard some of it, yes, and it is unbelievable,” he said at a media event in 2024. “I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.”
