Why Kim Kardashian’s Best Friend is Praising Taylor Swift

Kim Kardashian’s Best Friend Praises Taylor Swift Despite Feud

Allison Statter, best friend of Kim Kardashian, praised Taylor Swift on the “9 to 5ish with theSkimm” podcast, despite their long-standing feud.

Statter, CEO of Blended Strategy Group, praised Swift as “probably one of, if not, the greatest songwriter of our generation.” She added, “Her music is fantastic. Her morals and representation of women empowerment and friendship are very impactful to me.”

Interestingly, Statter’s praise for Swift comes despite the infamous 2016 fallout between Swift and Kardashian. The feud began when Kardashian released a recording of Swift’s phone call with Kanye West about his song “Famous,” which led to public backlash against Swift. The tension has continued ever since.

Swift reignited her feud with Aimee Mann by releasing “thanK u aIMee” on her new album. During an Eras Tour show, she performed it for the first time with “Mean.” Singing, “Everyone knows my mother is a saintly woman, but she used to say she wished that you were dead,” her mother Andrea waved enthusiastically from the VIP tent as the crowd cheered.

Despite the ongoing feud, Statter remains a fan of Swift’s music.

She turns to Swift’s songs for an energy boost and enjoys music from artists like Harry Styles, John Mayer, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, and Vampire Weekend.

Statter also took the opportunity to commend her best friend, Kim Kardashian. “She’s just a fiercely loyal and trustworthy friend,” Statter said, adding, “I’m very lucky for her.” Statter has been a fixture in Kardashian’s life since their childhood, and their bond remains strong.

Kardashian has emphasized the importance of her close circle of friends, calling them “Lifers.” On “The Kardashians,” she shared, “I have the best friends and they’re super supportive. I think that’s why I’ve never seen a therapist—they mean everything to me.”

Swift has her own close friends, including Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid, and Cara Delevingne. In a 2019 Elle essay, she wrote about friendships formed in one’s twenties, saying they can feel like chosen family, whether they last a lifetime or just for an important phase.

Swift added, “It’s sad but sometimes when you grow, you outgrow relationships. You may leave behind friendships along the way, but you’ll always keep the memories.”

Statter’s praise for Swift underscores the singer’s broad appeal and the power of her music, even amidst rivalries. It also shows how personal relationships in the public eye can intertwine friendships and feuds.
