It was another year for the books for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship. From a Super Bowl win—complete with a kiss on the field—to secret birthday dinners and surprise parties, the couple closed out 2024 on a well-deserved high note.

According to a source, the pop star and the Chiefs tight end spent New Year’s Eve together in Kansas City after several days in New York City. “[They] spent the days leading up to New Year’s in New York,” the insider shared. “But they flew back together to Kansas City on Monday.” Part of the reason they returned to Kansas City was because of Kelce’s football schedule, as the Chiefs had practice on both December 30 and January 1.

But that didn’t stop the two from ringing in the New Year with a bit of romance. “Taylor and Travis spent New Year’s Eve together in Kansas City and shared a kiss as soon as it hit midnight,” the source continued. “It was very romantic.”

With her record-breaking Eras Tour officially over, Taylor “plans to stay in and hibernate [with Travis] for a while,” a source previously told Us Weekly of the singer’s 2025 plans. The insider added, “They want to do ‘normal things’ as a couple.”

Meanwhile, a second source noted, “Taylor and Travis are eager to spend quality time together because [that’s when] the little nuances about someone’s personality and habits come into play. They will learn so much about each other.”

While there have been rumblings of new music and another tour in 2026, Swift hasn’t committed to anything just yet. “Things can change. A lot of it hinges on what happens over the next year with Travis,” the Us Weekly source shared. “She’s told her team to give her one year to see how things go in her personal life.”
