Is Travis Kelce Planning a Special Proposal for Taylor Swift?

The NFL star, 35, remained coy when asked about a possible proposal to his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, also 35, during the Super Bowl’s opening night event in New Orleans on Monday, Feb. 3.

When a reporter asked if he planned to pop the question at halftime, Kelce simply smiled at the camera and responded, “Wouldn’t you like to know?”

Since they started dating in 2023, Swift has been a regular at Kelce’s games, most recently supporting him at the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory against the Buffalo Bills on Jan. 26.

During the press conference, Kelce fielded several questions about Swift, including one about his favorite dish she makes.

“Oh, she’s quite the cook,” he said. “I’m a breakfast guy, man. I would say her homemade Pop-Tarts are unbelievable.”

He also praised Swift’s work ethic, saying, “I better hold up my end of the bargain. She’s up there being the superstar that she is, never taking no for an answer, and always working her tail off. I better match that energy for sure.”

Kelce’s remarks about a potential proposal come just days before the Chiefs face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in a highly anticipated Super Bowl rematch on Sunday, Feb. 9.

It remains unclear if Swift will attend the game, but with her Eras Tour wrapped up in December 2024, she now has more flexibility in her schedule. She was there for the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win in February 2024, celebrating on the field with Kelce after their victory against the San Francisco 49ers.

Following the Chiefs’ win over the Bills on Jan. 26, Swift was once again spotted on the field at Arrowhead Stadium, where the couple appeared to exchange “I love you’s” in celebration.

Kelce’s recent comments come shortly after Swift showed public support for him on social media. Before heading to the 2025 Grammys on Feb. 2, she liked an Instagram photo of Kelce stepping off a plane in New Orleans, wearing a yellow tracksuit.

At the Grammys, Swift also appeared to subtly nod to her NFL beau, accessorizing her look with a thigh-chain featuring a glittery red ‘T.’

As the Chiefs chase a historic third consecutive Super Bowl win, all eyes will be on Kelce—and possibly on whether he has a romantic surprise in store.

The Super Bowl kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 6:30 p.m. ET in New Orleans and will air on Fox.
