Timothée Chalamet was looking a little less like him and a little more like “ME!” on the red carpet of the Oscars on Sunday, March 2—a joke that Taylor Swift fans were quick to make online.

The A Complete Unknown actor—who was up for Best Actor, an award that ultimately went to Adrien Brody—looked straight out of the songstress’ music video in his monochromatic butter yellow blazer and matching trousers.

It almost looked as though he could have gone browsing through her wardrobe for his springy look—if not for the slightly shorter length of his blazer and the second set of buttons not included on Swift’s—that led one fan to joke on X, “🚨Timothee chalamet is reportedly wearing Taylor Swift’s blazer from the ME! Music video. #Oscars.”

Someone else quoted one of the lyrics from the song, “I promise that you’ll never find another like me,” speculating Chalamet’s response to the line was, “hold my beer.”

“we actually did find another like her after all,” someone else mused, with a reply humorously suggesting that “Tays so generous letting him borrow her clothes like this. 🙂.”

He also drew comparisons to “the illustrious stick of butter” that one might use to “enrich the taste” of a “beautiful baked potato,” while Variety, who posted one of the clips to X, thought his look was more akin to a stick of Laffy Taffy.
