Taylor Swift’s Dancer Honors Liverpool in Cute ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ Shoutout During Show

On Saturday, June 15, Taylor Swift performed her third Eras Tour show at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, England. During the concert, she honored the city by incorporating a surprise twist into her song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”

In footage posted on X (formerly Twitter), Swift’s dancer, Kameron Saunders changed up his “Like, ever” shoutout in the song to instead say, “Jog on, lad!”

The phrase is used by scousers — which is a colloquial term for people from Liverpool — and loosely means “get lost.” Saunders even adopted a Liverpudlian accent for the switch-up, much to the delight of the audience, who roared their approval.

During Swift’s first show in Liverpool, Saunders, who is known for saying phrases in the native language of the performance location, made a special switch-up. This was to mark her 100th Eras Tour show. In a TikTok video from June 13, the dancer changed the shout-out to “for the 100th time, no.”

Taylor Swift Announces Tour Ending in December

Earlier that day marked the 100th show of Taylor Swift’s tour. She told the audience that her tour would end in December this year.

“A lot of you are like, ‘How are you going to celebrate the 100th show?'” Swift asked the crowd on June 13, as seen in fan-filmed footage. “For me, it’s the first time I’ve acknowledged to myself that this tour is going to end in December.”

“That feels so far away from now, but then again, it feels like we just played our first show on this tour because you have made this so fun for us,” she continued.

“It’s taken over everything.

“I think I once had hobbies, but now all I do when I’m not on stage is sit at home and think of clever acoustic song mashups,” the “Fortnight” singer said, referring to the acoustic set she plays at the end of every Eras Tour show.

After the June 13 concert, Taylor Swift stayed up late. She watched her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his teammates at the Kansas City Chiefs ceremony.  They were receiving their Super Bowl LVIII rings.

Swift tuned in to the livestream on Chariah Gordon’s Instagram Live and shared her excitement in the comments section.

“JOINING THE PARTY FROM LIVERPOOL,” Swift wrote. “LET’S GOOOOOOOO!”

Swift’s Liverpool shows included sweet moments and mashups like “The Manuscript” with “Red,” and “Carolina” with “No Body, No Crime” during her acoustic “surprise song” set on June 15. The night before, she delighted the audience with a rendition of Rihanna’s 2016 hit “This Is What You Came For,” originally by Swift’s ex, Calvin Harris.

Taylor Swift’s Heartfelt Tribute to Liverpool Fans

At her second Liverpool show, Taylor Swift praised the “beautiful” crowd on X (formerly Twitter).

“I just want to say, on an individual basis, this is one of the most expressive, genuine, generous, beautiful crowds I’ve ever gotten to play for,” Swift said.

“I’ve made so many best friends out here tonight, you have no idea,” she added.

Swift continued, “I’m so lucky to get to play a show with people like you wanting to come to it. Thank you so, so, so much for that. I love you Liverpool. Thank you.”
The pop superstar first announced the Eras Tour in November 2022, with 27 concert dates across the United States. Since then, she’s added several additional legs to the tour including Latin

Taylor Swift’s tour has spanned across America, Asia, Australia, and Europe, with an additional North American leg.

“Just know that I appreciate every single ounce of effort that you’ve put into being with us as this tour reaches triple digits,” Swift thanked her fans in Liverpool, the birthplace of the Beatles.

Before her debut show in Liverpool, Merseyside Police diligently worked for six months to ensure event safety. This information was shared in a video on X (formerly Twitter).

“We’re excited to welcome Taylor Swift and the Swifties,” Chief Superintendent Zoe Thornton said in the video.

“We know Swifties look after each other so continue to do so.”

Following her three nights in Liverpool, Swift will next jet off to Cardiff, Wales, for her next tour stops.
