Travis Kelce Gives Taylor Swift the ‘Last 22 Hat’ at the ‘Giant Surprise’ Eras Tour Party He Threw
The pop star celebrated the end of her Eras Tour in style, finally enjoying one of the fans’ favorite traditions from her $2 billion tour
Taylor Swift could finally partake in one of the fans’ favorite Eras Tour traditions!
At a party for Taylor Swift in Kansas City, her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, planned a surprise to celebrate the end of her record-breaking tour. Kelce gave Swift the “22” hat, replicating a beloved moment from her shows.
Each night, Swift gifted a black fedora to a fan during her “22” performance, with recipients including Gracie Gomez and Bianka Bryant.
At Swift’s party on Wednesday, however, she had the opportunity to receive the black fedora herself — this time from Kelce. The moment was captured in a photo shared by Swift’s bestie Ashley Avignone, which she posted to Instagram on Thursday, Dec. 19 with the caption “and the last 22 hat goes to…”
Avignone shared photos from the celebration, highlighting Eras Tour references. Kelce included the faux-cleaning cart Swift used, her iconic green “Willow” capes, and friendship bracelets worn by guests.
“When she thought she was going to a small, quiet dinner but it was actually a giant surprise party with her friends and family, props included 🥳” Avignone captioned an carousel of pictures she posted to Instagram.
Brittany Mahomes dazzled in a silver fringe mini dress with knee-high boots, channeling Swift’s Fearless era, while Patrick Mahomes sported a suit inspired by Kelce’s Eras Tour look.
Chiefs WAG Lyndsay Bell also dressed to theme, wearing a pink fringe Lover ensemble. Avignone wore a plush snake around her neck, referencing Swift’s sixth album, Reputation. Brittany shared photos of the looks on Instagram.
Though the birthday girl was not dressed in an Eras Tour look — it was a surprise, after all — she stunned nonetheless. She wore a $4,290 black Balmain halter-neck minidress, embellished with a crystal accent down the front.
For Swift’s Dec. 13 birthday, the NFL shared a romantic video of her and Kelce, while her Eras Tour team celebrated two years of touring with heartfelt social media posts.
“I hope that today you experience tenfold the love you put out!” backup dancer Kam Saunders wrote on Instagram. “To me, to the cast and crew, to your friends and family, and to your fans!”
Wrote Swift’s longtime bass player Amos Heller: “Happy birthday @taylorswift. Always grateful you braided my dreams with yours.”
