No animal should be subjected to cruel treatment; However, this is often the reality for many domestic furry pets who suffer unfairly from hostility and poor living conditions imposed on them by irresponsible owners.

This was the situation with a dog in Mexico City, who was constantly chained outside his family’s home, no matter how forcefully he poured water. In fact, it was caught on tape in the middle of heavy rain with hailstones, with the dog wrapping itself around its body to defend itself.

His owners didn’t seem to notice how cold he was or what he had to endure out there. However, a neighbor took the footage and uploaded it to his Twitter account in order to press charges, and hopefully some authorities will intervene.

“Once again, I want to inform my neighbors that no matter the weather or storm, they leave Leo outdoors. Animal Welfare Agency, please help him, Mayor Gustavo Madero,” the person identified as @JC real__ noted.

Therefore, Animal Control Squad Officer Letty Varela stated that her Twitter account, along with the rest, continued to rescue dogs. “The comrades from the animal control squad of the General Secretariat of Citizen Security in Mexico City spoke to us and convinced us. The dog had previously been rescued from the terrible conditions it was in, and is currently being followed and cared for by us. Enough cruelty to animals,” she added.

“Together we change stories. What an honor it was to rescue this dog yesterday and today to make him so calm, loving and happy. Thank you to all my colleagues from the Animal Control Brigade for his dedication and work,” he said in another post. As you can see the tremendous transformation this puppy has undergone, he will now have a brighter future.
