Taylor Swift Reacts to Simone Biles Using ‘…Ready for It’: ‘Watched This So Many Times and Still Unready’

Taylor Swift is in awe of Simone Biles’ talent!

The Olympic champion gymnast, 27, used Swift’s track “Ready for It” for the beginning part of her floor routine during day 2 of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials on Friday, June 28, and the pop superstar, 34, has shared her thoughts about it.

“Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho👏👏👏🥇🇺🇸❤” Swift wrote on X on Saturday, June 29, in reaction to a video of the routine posted by the NBC Olympics & Paralympics account.

In the clip, Simone Biles begins her routine to Taylor Swift’s track from her 2017 album Reputation. She even performed what a commentator described as the “hardest tumbling pass in the world.” She executed the triple-double while the song played.

A seven-time Olympic medalist, Biles previously made history in 2019 when she was the first woman to perform the tricky gymnastics move during the U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Kansas City, Mo. that year.

The superstar gymnast, Simone Biles, used the Travis Scott track “Delresto (Echoes),” which features Beyoncé, during her June 28 floor routine. Her performance in the event helped her finish the first half of the women’s qualifying in first place.

Her routines on the floor, the bars, and on vault meant she was able to overcome a few wobbles. She still managed to finish on top despite those challenges in the beam event.

The following day, Taylor Swift talked to the audience about how she developed the fictional story of her fantasy-inspired pandemic-era album, Folklore. She noted its connection to Ireland during her discussion.

“Folklore in general, it just belongs in Ireland,” she explained to the audience after finishing her performance of “Cardigan.”

“How I imagined the album world looking [was like] Ireland. Storytelling with lots of different characters,” Swift added, referencing her stories in the album. “You guys have that on lock, too. That’s very Irish, the storytelling.”
