Selena Gomez recently announced her engagement to Benny Blanco and she’ll soon be deciding who will be in her wedding party, with Taylor Swift believed to be top of the list

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have been friends for years and it seems the Shake It Off hitmaker will play a very important role in Selena’s upcoming wedding.

The Only Murders in the Building star, 32, is engaged to Benny Blanco and will likely be busy planning her special day. Taylor teased her plans to be flower girl at the ceremony on Instagram. A source suggested Selena won’t pass up the chance to get her pal involved.

“Jokes aside, it’s safe to say that their fans could expect to see each of them in the other’s wedding party. They even talk about their future children playing together,” the source said.

The source continued, “Taylor and Selena will be in each other’s lives forever.” Speaking about Selena and Taylor’s friendship, they told Life and Style, “When they get together, there’s no pretense, they’re simply two normal women who enjoy gossip, shopping, reality TV shows and romantic comedies.”

The comments come amid speculation Taylor is also engaged. Fans are convinced her boyfriend Travis Kelce proposed after spotting an odd detail in pictures from the singer’s birthday party.

Brittany Mahomes shared Instagram photos of Taylor Swift enjoying the Eras Tour-themed bash, sipping a cocktail. One photo featured Brittany, Taylor, Ashley Avignone, and Lyndsay Bell.

One eagle-eyed fan noticed how Taylor’s ring finger appeared to be “blurred” in the images. Others have since been speculating the picture has been edited to remove an engagement ring.

A source recently suggested the singer would “love to be engaged” to Travis. They told Us Weekly, “Taylor does feel like Travis is The One, but jumping in is not her style. That’s just not how she does [things]. Marriage is a big deal, and she wants [it to be] forever.”
