Luke Bryan handed a fan named Colin free concert tickets for life after the man stormed the stage during a stop on the Word On The Street Tour in Moline, Illinois on July 10.
The moment unfolded inside the Vibrant Arena at The MARK, where Bryan spotted Colin dancing energetically in the crowd alongside his wife. Intrigued enough to interrupt his own set, Bryan paused his performance of DJ Rob Base and E-Z-Rock’s “It Takes Two” and called the couple out. Addressing the wife first with a joking “Ma’am, do you know him?”, Bryan confirmed the connection before waving Colin toward the stage with the invitation, “I gotta meet this son of a b—h.”
From the Floor to the Stage
Once Colin was up front, Bryan put him through a lighthearted sobriety check. Colin openly admitted to having consumed 32 beers by that point in the day. Bryan then offered to give him a “tutorial on how to shake it,” which the crowd met with enthusiasm — before Colin took over and delivered his own Beyoncé-style booty shake to the audience.
The Reward: Tickets for Life
The night’s biggest moment came when Bryan handed Colin a beer, which Colin promptly shotgunned on stage. That sealed it. A visibly impressed Bryan turned to the crowd and declared, “Colin, for that, you get free tickets to my concerts for life.”
The logistics of how that arrangement will be honored remain unspecified, but based on Bryan’s word, Colin and his wife can expect access to any of the singer’s future shows.
The gesture also fits a pattern emerging in country music. Within the same 30-day window, Jelly Roll pulled a similar move at one of his own shows, spotting a fan he recognized from multiple stops on his tour. “This lady right here, make sure she never buys a ticket to a show again,” Jelly Roll said, later adding, “You will never buy another ticket to my concert, ever. We will take care of that tonight.”
For fans of Bryan, Colin’s story is a reminder that showing up to a Word On The Street Tour date with energy to spare might pay off in ways nobody could predict.
