Russell Dickerson’s life on the road took an unexpectedly candid turn when his two-year-old son, Radford, chose a very public moment — and a very visible location — to demonstrate his potty training progress.
The country singer and his wife, Kailey, are currently navigating toddler life aboard a tour bus, a logistical reality shaped by Dickerson’s active touring schedule. The couple’s youngest son, Radford Arthur, born in 2023, is in the middle of potty training — and during a June 2026 stop at Hoofbeat Country Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin, that process played out in front of an audience nobody anticipated.
An Unforgettable Backstage Moment
Dickerson was sharing the bill with Kane Brown at the festival when Radford made his move. Speaking on Taste of Country Nights, Dickerson described the scene: “We just did a show with Kane Brown. We’re potty training our youngest and we all just turn around and little man just has dropped trow, peeing on the front of our bus.” To be clear, the toddler was outside the vehicle, positioned near the front bumper — not inside the bus.
Rather than treating it as a crisis, Dickerson embraced the chaos. His reaction, by his own account, was to declare out loud, “You know what? This is life on the road, baby. These are memories that are gonna last a lifetime!”
A Growing Family
Radford is the younger of the Dickersons’ two sons. Their older boy, Remington Edward, was born in 2020. Now the family is set to grow again — Russell and Kailey have announced they are expecting their third child, though no arrival date has been confirmed.
With a new baby on the way and a toddler still mid-potty-training, Dickerson’s tour bus is only going to get more eventful.
