Jelly Roll’s 18-year-old daughter Bailee Ann DeFord is warning the public that everything they think they know about her father’s divorce from Bunnie Xo is wrong — and she says the real story is still coming.
During a profanity-laced TikTok Live over the weekend, DeFord pushed back forcefully against online speculation surrounding the split, which was finalized just weeks ago after Jelly Roll filed for divorce on May 18 citing irreconcilable differences. News of the filing went public in June, and the former couple settled earlier this month, ending a 10-year marriage.
DeFord Fires Back at Online Speculation
In her TikTok Live, DeFord was direct in defending her father and dismissing the narratives circulating online. She denied that either Jelly Roll or Bunnie Xo was unfaithful and made clear that the full picture has not yet surfaced publicly. According to Page Six, she told viewers: “Y’all have no f–king idea what happened, and wait ’till y’all find out. Because I promise y’all, the view of what y’all have of not only the situation, but their relationship and the internet in totality is about to f–king crumble the day that I open my mouth.” She also declared, “Don’t y’all ever come for my father’s name like that again.”
This is not the first time DeFord has pushed back against public intrusion into her family’s private life. Last month she posted an expiring TikTok calling the situation “a very clearly private family matter” and saying she was “disgusted” by how invested strangers had become in it. “Worry ’bout your house — not mine,” she wrote at the time, adding, “I’m not speaking on it — yet.”
Divorce Terms and Family Background
Court documents show that Jelly Roll will make a one-time confidential lump-sum payment to Bunnie Xo, eliminating future alimony obligations for either party. The settlement divides a range of shared assets — including homes, vehicles, an aircraft, and intellectual property — though the financial specifics remain sealed.
Jelly Roll shares Bailee with ex Felicia Beckwith and is also father to a 9-year-old son, Noah, with ex Melisa Ann Cowell. With DeFord openly signaling that she intends to speak more fully at some point, the story surrounding one of country music’s most high-profile splits appears far from over.
