Parker McCollum and his wife Hallie Ray Light welcomed their second son, Tommy Light McCollum, on July 30.
The Texas country singer and his wife announced the birth on August 1 via social media, revealing the baby weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces. “THANK YOU JESUS for another healthy baby boy!” the couple wrote in their post. “We are so in love with our little fam! Mom & dad x 2 here we gooooooo!” Tommy joins big brother Major Yancey, who was born in August 2024, making McCollum a father of two boys.
A Night at Red Rocks — Then Straight Home
The night before Tommy’s arrival, McCollum was on stage at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. From there, he made no secret of what was on his mind. He told the crowd he was expecting his second child the following day, adding, “But God is good, and as long as that baby gets here healthy, I’ll never ask him for anything again.” He also dedicated his song “Hell of a Year” to Hallie Ray Light that evening before heading home to be by her side for the birth.
Shows Postponed, Rescheduled Dates Set
To be present for the birth and recovery, McCollum pulled two dates from his touring schedule. His July 31 stop in Kansas City, Mo., and his August 1 date in Omaha, Neb., were both postponed. The Omaha show has been rescheduled for September 10 and the Kansas City show for September 12, with all originally purchased tickets honored on the new dates. “Hate having to make that call, but family comes first,” McCollum wrote on Instagram Stories.
McCollum and Light married in March 2022 after a long relationship, and she has been the subject of several of his songs, including one that bears her name. The couple first announced the pregnancy on Christmas Day 2025, revealing at the same time that baby number two would be a boy. With Tommy now here, fans can expect McCollum back on the road when those rescheduled September dates arrive.
