Pat Sajak recently gave fans an update on how life has been since retiring from his longtime run as the host of Wheel of Fortune.
It’s been nearly two years since fans last saw Pat Sajak on their television screens after he stepped away from the game show.
Since then, the 79-year-old has kept a low profile while enjoying retirement, but his absence has left fans wondering how he’s been doing, especially since he hasn’t posted on his social media for over three months.
Thankfully, though, we now know where he’s been… kind of.
Earlier this week, Sajak shared a video on his X account, giving fans a much-needed update on how retirement has been treating him.
“Hi! I know a lot of you have been wondering, asking me how I’m doing, and I’m enjoying life,” Sajak said in the clip. “I moved here to Montana and everything is going just great. So, I just want to say hello.”
It may sound like Sajak has traded the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles for a quieter, more country lifestyle, but that wasn’t exactly the case.
Fans quickly realized he was joking around, considering the video’s background proved he was definitely NOT in Montana like he said.
Directly behind him was the beautiful blue ocean, and Sajak was surrounded by palm trees blowing in the wind. He was also dressed in proper beach attire, wearing a white-and-blue striped button-up shirt, white pants, and holding a pair of sunglasses.
“You’ll have to excuse me, I have some cattle to attend to,” Sajak added. “Here, boy!”
Viewers then heard a cow mooing in the background, which was a hilarious little touch from the entertainment icon.

No matter where he actually is, it seems like retirement is treating Sajak well.
Pat Sajak Hosted Wheel Of Fortune For 40 Years
He announced his departure from Wheel of Fortune back in 2023 through a statement on his social media. He had spent 41 seasons being the face of the popular game show. His message read:
“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)”

He spun the “Wheel of Fortune“ for the very last time in June 2024, but later returned to host Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, with the final episode of the spin-off airing in June 2025.
Since then, Ryan Seacrest has taken on the role of full-time host.
