Jon Pardi and his wife Summer Pardi have announced they are ending their marriage after nearly six years together.
The couple made the news public on Friday, June 3, through a joint statement shared on social media. They confirmed the split while emphasizing their commitment to their two daughters, writing: “After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. Our daughters will always remain our highest priority, and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents.” The announcement arrived during an especially active stretch for Jon professionally — and an emotionally turbulent one for Summer personally.
A Busy Week Before the News Broke
In the days immediately preceding the announcement, Jon had been a prominent figure at two major country music events. He performed Alan Jackson’s “She’s Got The Rhythm (And I Got The Blues)” as part of the all-star tribute lineup at Jackson’s final full-length concert, Last Call: One More For The Road – The Finale, and was later spotted in the crowd alongside Luke Bryan, singing along as Jackson ran through his biggest hits. Two nights after that, Pardi appeared at the Grand Ole Opry, where he had the honor of extending a membership invitation to Rhett Akins.
Hours before the separation was announced, Summer shared a post on Instagram revealing that her father, Larry, had been diagnosed with multiple myeloma — a blood cancer that can weaken bones — after a tractor accident led doctors to run tests that uncovered the disease. Larry is currently undergoing treatment.
How Jon and Summer Pardi’s Story Began
Jon and Summer first crossed paths in 2017 through a blind date arranged by a friend of Jon’s mother, who happened to be a client of Summer’s — she works as a hairstylist. Jon flew Summer out to one of his shows at a country bar, a gesture Summer initially approached with skepticism. “My girlfriends all convinced me I had nothing to lose,” she said. “So I flew out there with a girlfriend, just in case it went south.” Any doubts dissolved quickly; both described the meeting as love at first sight.
After nearly four years of dating — and after COVID restrictions forced them to scrap a planned destination wedding in Montana — the couple married on November 21, 2020, in an intimate ceremony in Murfreesboro. They welcomed their first daughter, Presley Fawn, in February 2023, and their second, Sienna Grace, in July 2024.
Both Jon and Summer have indicated that co-parenting their daughters remains their shared focus as they move forward separately.
