Why Dating Has Been So Complicated

During a previous appearance on This Past Week w/Theo Von, he was direct about the realities of life on the road. “It’s really not that easy to meet a girl when you’re doing what we’re doing,” he said. His celebrity status adds another layer of difficulty — Green has acknowledged that he avoids bars and similar social settings because he grows uncomfortable when strangers recognize him and put him at the center of attention in moments that are supposed to feel private. “I don’t like being the center of attention when I’m not supposed to,” he said.
Waiting for the Pace to Slow Down
Beyond logistics, Green has spoken openly about the career momentum that makes it hard to step back. “I feel like if I could be in one place for a while, like, live somewhere. Right now, I could go take a month off, but I just can’t with everything going on and the opportunities I’ve got. I can’t make myself do it,” he said. He described his career trajectory with a rising gesture and noted that things would eventually level off — projecting a future where he plays 40 to 60 shows a year, potentially takes on acting projects, and has space for a life outside of music. “I might film a little TV show, movie, whatever, and then I can have a life outside of it. But it’s just tough to do it right now,” he added.
