President Trump’s Granddaughter Shares Unique Look At White House Festivities
Easter may already be a week behind us, but President Donald Trump’s eldest granddaughter, Kai Trump, 17, just shed some behind-the-scenes light on Easter at the White House.
Posting to her YouTube channel, Kai, the eldest child of Donald Trump Jr., has periodically been making vlog entries in the months following her speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
Golf is one of the main focuses of her vlog, as Kai will begin attending University of Miami this fall and playing golf with Miami Hurricanes Women’s Golf. Beyond her time on the green, her vlog also offers a glimpse into her life as the granddaughter of the president.
Previous vlog highlights include her Inauguration Day video, titled “My grandpa just became president again,” and a video she uploaded a week ago about her attendance at a UFC fight with the man she knows as “Grandpa.”
Life As The Granddaughter Of The President
In an April 26 video titled “Inside The secret White House residence,” Kai reveals she slept in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House over the Easter weekend.
Historically used as President Abraham Lincoln’s office, the room is where the nation’s 16th president signed the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863.
However, sleeping in such a room the night before the annual White House Easter Egg Roll is not without its downsides, as Kai was awoken by the sound of the United States Marine Band rehearsing down in the South Lawn.

From bowling in the White House to enjoying grilled chicken for breakfast as part of her gluten-free and largely dairy-free diet, this is a slice of life video. There’s footage of her daily routine intercut with several interactions with one of her younger brothers, 16-year-old Donald Trump III.
Standout moments include an evening visit the siblings make to the National Mall, visiting the World War II Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial.
While at the Lincoln Memorial, Kai and Donald III play a brief 22-second game of “sneaking away from Secret Service” before they’re caught by their security detail’s ever-watchful eye from around a column in the memorial.
Kai’s video also gives a greater sense of dimension to the layout of the White House, which is more commonly seen by the public from the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room or the Oval Office.
Easter At The White House
“I gotta, like, warm up before, like, the Easter egg hunt, so I’m getting a quick little pump,” Kai joked from the White House gym.
From there, Kai and her four siblings got dressed in their Easter best for the White House Easter Egg Roll.
Offering a “backstage” look at Trump and Melania’s remarks from the balcony overlooking the South Lawn, Kai’s Gen-Z humor occasionally sneaks in. As the Easter bunny walks by, she replays the bunny passing her camera’s gaze in slow motion. Later, she focuses on her grandfather complimenting a young boy’s bowtie, with Trump being heard saying, “I love the bowtie. I love that bowtie.”
There’s also just ordinary sibling humor, as she tells her 12-year-old brother Tristan Trump, whom she dubs “T-Money,” that the Easter eggs in the egg roll “are really good to eat.”
Near the end of the video, we also see that it was Kai’s father, Don Jr., who convinces the president to do his famous “Trump dance” for a group of people near the fence of the White House.
