Alan Jackson closed out his final concert ever on June 27, 2025, bringing a storied career to an end with a sold-out show at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.
The event, billed as “The Finale,” served as the capstone to Jackson’s multi-year “Last Call” farewell tour, which had officially wrapped on May 17, 2025, with a show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Jackson had launched the tour after revealing in 2021 that he was living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, an incurable degenerative nerve condition that affects the peripheral nerves and disrupts his balance on stage. Over a career spanning decades, he accumulated more than 35 No. 1 hits and sold tens of millions of records worldwide, with signature tracks including “Chattahoochee,” “Remember When,” and “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” cementing his place among the best-selling country artists of all time.
A Night Nashville Won’t Forget
All roughly 55,000 seats at Nissan Stadium were gone before the general public sale even opened, with tickets selling out entirely during the presale phase after going on sale in October 2025. The crowd that filled the stadium witnessed an all-star lineup assembled to honor Jackson’s legacy, with George Strait, Lainey Wilson, Carrie Underwood, and Riley Green among the performers taking the stage.
Ending Where He Began
Jackson chose “Where I Come From” to close the night — and his career. Released as the third single from his album When Somebody Loves You, the track reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in late 2001, becoming his 18th career chart-topper. The song follows a traveling narrator encountering different people and cultures across the country, a fitting final statement for an artist so deeply rooted in American life.
Before walking off stage for the last time, Jackson paused to face the crowd, waving as thousands responded with cheers and applause — a quiet, unscripted moment that underscored the weight of the goodbye.
With “The Finale” now behind him, Jackson leaves the stage having given fans years of farewell shows and one last unforgettable night in the city where his career began.
