Kacey Musgraves has quietly dropped three dates from her upcoming Middle of Nowhere Tour, leaving ticket holders to learn the news through Ticketmaster notifications rather than any announcement from the artist herself.
As of Sunday morning, July 26, Musgraves had not addressed the cancellations on social media and offered no explanation for the decision. Ticketmaster’s message to affected ticket holders similarly provided no reason, informing fans only that refunds would be processed within 14 to 21 days.
Which Shows Were Cut
The three canceled dates are August 20 at the United Center in Chicago, August 29 at TD Garden in Boston, and September 2 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Each of these shows was part of a tour expansion Musgraves announced on May 8 — an add-on to her original tour rollout from late April. Importantly, the original dates in those same cities remain on the schedule: one show each in Boston and Chicago, and two dates in New York City are all still intact. The May expansion also added Texas stops in Austin on October 8 and Dallas on October 11, both of which remain on the books.
About the Tour and Album
The Middle of Nowhere Tour is set to launch on August 21 — Musgraves’ birthday — in support of her new album of the same name. The record features tracks including “Dry Spell,” “Mexico Honey,” and “Horses and Divorces,” a collaboration with Miranda Lambert. Beyond the domestic run, Musgraves has announced an international leg beginning in January 2027, with shows scheduled across Australia and the UK.
