The Eagles have added four more shows to their record-breaking Las Vegas Sphere residency, pushing their run at the futuristic venue into January 2027.
The newly announced dates — January 15, 16, 22, and 23 — bring the band’s total booking at The Sphere to 72 shows since September 2024, by far the most of any act in the venue’s short history. The group cited “overwhelming demand” in a social media post announcing the dates. Tickets go on sale August 14.
Lapping the Competition at The Sphere
To put the Eagles’ Sphere dominance in perspective: U2, who inaugurated the Las Vegas venue when it opened in September 2023, have played 40 dates there in total. The Eagles have now booked nearly twice that number, cementing their status as the defining act of The Sphere era. The January 2027 announcement follows a batch of December 2026 dates the band added just last month.
Where This Fits in The Long Goodbye
The Eagles announced their farewell tour, titled The Long Goodbye, in June 2023. The run was framed from the start as an open-ended wind-down — one that would continue until every fan who wanted a final look had the chance to get one. The band most recently played three stadium dates on that tour in May 2026. Notably, their Sphere residency has operated separately from The Long Goodbye Tour itself.
No final show has been announced, but the band has been candid about the trajectory. New music from the current lineup — which has included Vince Gill since 2017 — is considered very unlikely. When The Long Goodbye was announced, the Eagles told fans: “This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.” With dates now confirmed through at least January 2027, the goodbye is still very much in progress.
