Sharon Osbourne marked what would have been her 46th wedding anniversary with late husband Ozzy Osbourne on July 4 with a public tribute, while daughter Kelly penned an open letter to her mother describing the milestone as a love “that even death could not diminish.”
Ozzy Osbourne, the Black Sabbath frontman widely regarded as one of rock music’s defining figures, died in July 2025 at the age of 76. His family confirmed the news in a statement released shortly after his passing, noting he died of an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. He had previously been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. His death came just weeks after a farewell concert at which he reunited with original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.
Sharon and Kelly Keep His Memory Alive
In the months since his death, the Osbourne family has offered a series of public remembrances. On what would have been Ozzy’s 77th birthday, Sharon posted a video set to his song “See You on the Other Side,” pairing the music with photographs from their life together. “My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born,” she wrote. “I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side.”
Kelly Osbourne has likewise shared memories of her father publicly in the period since his death.
Kelly’s Letter to Sharon on Their Anniversary
For the July 4 anniversary, Sharon described the occasion as “a celebration of a love that even death could not diminish,” adding: “I miss your hand in mine, but I carry your love with me every step of the way. Forever my husband. Forever my heart.”
Kelly addressed her mother directly in a separate post, opening with the words “Today feels different” before reflecting on the weight the anniversary must carry. “I hope you know that love like yours doesn’t end when a life does,” she wrote. “It changes shape. Daddy may no longer walk beside you, but he will never stop walking with you.” Kelly pictured Ozzy watching over Sharon “with so much pride and so much love,” and praised her mother’s resilience in the months since his death: “Every day since he left, you’ve had to learn how to carry both grief and hope in the same heart, and somehow, you’ve continued to do it with extraordinary grace. He would be so incredibly proud of the woman you are becoming.” She closed the letter by assuring Sharon that as future milestones arrive, the family will be beside her throughout.
For fans who followed Ozzy’s decades-long career, the Osbourne family’s ongoing public tributes offer a window into how those closest to him are processing loss — and honoring a legacy that stretched far beyond the stage.
